With easy to get to headings like “inspirations” for example, you can read and see images that will be the basis of new artworks. I’ll try to show with photos, and explain in a few words how an idea or fleeting image is translated into a sculptural work, or painting.

It may not always be about art...you may get a glimpse into sailing on our beautiful coastal waterways...building motorcycles, or just roaming around White Rock, British Columbia seeking out those magical glimpses of life in the slow lane.

"Courting Disaster" is the somewhat humorous title of my most recent sculpture. This work has recently been awarded First Place in the sculpture category of the Surrey Arts Council's "Arts 2010" juried competition, and is on display at the Surrey Art Gallery thru July and August. The photo on the right represents this piece of whimsical imagery in a classical form. I used an African Springstone for this sculpture. It is presented on a wood base that is carved as well to blend up into the stonework of the perhaps ill fated boaters.
